Town and City clean ups
Every town and city across the UK has a problem with litter, and now that the warmer weather is here and more people are out and about the problem will only get worse. However, it seems that some areas are way ahead of others when it comes to street cleaning and keeping on top of it. Bournemouth, a very busy seaside resort that receives a lot of visitors is obviously keen to keep their clean and tidy image. They have a team that go out between 6am and 8am clearing up the previous night's mess, which after reading this report is obviously one big clean up.
This isn't happening everywhere though and some smaller towns like this one are seen as a poor relation when it comes to cleaning.
Councils and local businesses in town and city centres all have a part to play in keeping streets clean and litter free. Food outlets and take aways should ensure any rubbish outside their premises is collected and bagged each night. Councils should be then collecting bagged rubbish from town and city centres on a daily basis. Many could learn a few things if they spoke to the cleaning teams out in Bournemouth.
The cleaning of city and town centres should be done on a regular basis to keep them looking presentable and a place that people will want to come back to. If this isn't done then the first image someone gets will be an unkempt dirty view, not exactly the kind of place you would want to return to is it?
Here at Clean Sweep UK we hire out a wide range of sweepers and road sweepers across the whole of the UK that make town and city clean up operations easy to manage and very cost effective.
