Nilfisk RS 501 Takes Star Turn in Red Nose Day Sketch

By Clean Sweep @ Feb 22, 2011 in Company News
The Clean Sweep UK's Nilfisk RS 501 and Adrian Edmondson are set to be an unlikely comedy duo in a sketch being broadcast on Comic Relief's upcoming Red Nose Day.

As part of the television benefit, which was launched in 1985 and sees comedians, entertainers and the British public team up to raise money for the charity, former Bottom and Young Ones actor Edmondson was filmed strolling through the centre of London pointing out his favourite things in life and highlighting the significance of comedy.

After a dose of poetry and custard pie throwing, the comedian went on to talk about how much he loves animals, before accidentally dropping two fluffy rabbits on the floor. This is where the RS 501 made its star turn, diving in quickly to sweep away what were, thankfully, only cuddly toys.

Commenting on the day his cleaning machine hire company helped the charity, Managing Director Stephen Dennis said: "We were absolutely delighted to be asked by Comic Relief to help out. The charity does wonderful things for those who need it the most 365 days a year.

"However, we at Clean Sweep UK did feel guilty coming in and upstaging Adrian Edmondson! The BBC crew were pleasantly surprised when our Nilfisk RS 501 didn't succumb to stage fright and worked perfectly every time, allowing them to get the shots they needed in one take."

This year's Red Nose Day is to be broadcast on 18th March. Remember to look out for us in the finished sketch!
