The new campaign from Keep Britain Tidy was launched last month. The 'Love where you live' campaign is encouraging everyone to do their bit in helping make their local community a cleaner better place to live. Simple tasks such as sweeping the pavement in front of your own home make a big difference when everyone does it.
There are many places however that require some mechanical help when it comes to clearing up as it needs doing on a regular basis. If you saw the streets in any city centre after a Friday or Saturday night party goers have gone home you wouldn't consider using a bin bag and sweeping brush as they just wouldn't cut it. Sweeping machines and road sweepers are what's needed and make light work of collecting all the left over take away wrappers, empty beer bottles and cigarette butts lining the streets doing the job quickly and effectively. But if everyone looked after their own piece of their local community it would help create a cleaner litter free country and would ensure we could all 'Love where we Live'.
