Game set and match when it comes to cleaning

By Clean Sweep @ May 17, 2011 in tennis court cleaning

Summer is here and that means strawberries, cream and tennis racquets at the ready. Wimbledon is one of the big events next month and will see thousands travelling down to watch the top players on court. But it isn't just venues like Wimbledon that look top class and pristine, there are hundreds of homes with tennis courts across the UK that are looking just as good.

Clean Sweep UK has taken a lot of calls recently from individuals requesting one of our Nilfisk professional scrubber dryers to clean up their tennis court. Whether you have your own tennis court at home, or you run a local sports club with tennis courts, it is important to keep the courts clean and free of debris for both safety and longevity of the court.

Mildew, mould and algae are just some of the things that can fester on a tennis court. Failure to keep the tennis court clean means there is a risk of players slipping and injuring themselves. A clean court has much better traction which means players will have a better game. The other thing to bear in mind is the high maintenance cost if a court is left dirty for long periods. Hard court resurfacing costs are extremely high so it is important to get any small lines and cracks repaired as soon as you see them. A dirty court means they won't always be visible leading to the problem getting worse and beyond repair.

Clean Sweep UK has a wide range of scrubber dryers available for hire across the country which are perfect for cleaning tennis courts. If your court is located near woodland and you have a problem with leaves and twigs we also have combination machines for hire which have a sweeper built in as well.
