21st Century Clean Ups

By Clean Sweep @ Aug 25, 2010 in Workplace cleaning

Floor cleaning in a commercial or industrial environment can be a tiresome and very repetitive process. It has to be done on a regular basis for both cleanliness and safety reasons. But because of the advancements in technology and design over the past few years there are now machines that can handle every floor cleaning task. Not only do they achieve fantastic cleaning results but also reduce the fatigue and physical exertion used when done manually by hand. Using a floor cleaning machine is less time consuming so reduces the man hours being used on a job, which for businesses is more cost effective.

Here at Clean Sweep we hire out a vast range of floor cleaning machines to suit most applications:

Vacuum cleaners have been around a long time, but the Nilfisk vacuums we hire out have sophisticated filtration systems which can control dust in the most demanding conditions.

Floor sweepers are machines that are often seen in warehouses or factories. Whilst they may appear to simply do what a broom does this isn't the case. The type of brush used on the sweeper is important. A stiff brush will remove heavier dirt that is more difficult to pick up but a brush that has thinner bristles is better at removing lighter deposits. Some sweepers can be used in both wet and dry applications.

Scrubber dryers are quite similar to sweepers but they also wash the floor.
Nilfisk industrial floor scrubber driers produce safe, dry and clean floors. Scrubber dryers work by mixing water with chemical detergents and scrubbing hard surfaces to suspend the dirt and debris in a solution. A squeegee in the scrubber dryer then sucks up the slurry and debris into a recovery tank.

You should consider the following before selecting floor cleaning machines.

  • The size of the area to be cleaned.
  • The type of dirt that needs to be removed
  • How often the job needs to be done
  • The type of environment the machine will used in

We are happy to discuss your cleaning requirements with you and advise on the best machines for the job. Call one of our experienced team on 0844 704 4995 or complete the online enquiry form and we will give you a call back.
